Latvia is emerging as a tourist destination with each passing year and it is only few years that it opened its doors for tourists, after its independence from the Soviet Union. Riga is the main tourist destination for its beauty, architecture, excellent hotels, great food and above all a cultural city, with many concerts and festivals running all the year round. Finding a comfortable Riga Latvia hotel is not a problem, with numerous options available for every kind of budget. Summer months are peak tourist season but I am visiting during the winters and will ring the New Year bells here. I moment I arrived, it was completely magical, a Christmas fairytale, buildings covered in snow and lighted up. It was off-season for the hotels, thus I got my Riga hotel Latvia at a very low price. Room service was excellent, dining exceptional, staff warm and hospitable, all this made the stay here a wonderful experience and a great way to usher in the New Year.
